Marnie Simpson, Co-Owner
Marnie Tate Simpson is a lifelong resident of San Antonio. She graduated from Saint Mary’s Hall in 1985, and went on to Baylor University, where she received a B.A. in History in 1990. She later received her elementary education teaching certificate and taught school for five years.
Marnie has been involved in real estate for the past fifteen years. As a real estate investor, she and her husband, Bart, purchased and refurbished several apartment complexes, investment properties, and homes across South Texas. In 2000, Bart partnered with Trey Embrey to form EmbreySimpson and Marnie has continued as a limited partner in their investment projects.
Prior to the EmbreySimpson partnership, Marnie worked with Bart in the day to day management of their apartment projects. After coaxing from family and friends, Marnie obtained her real estate license.
Early in 2007, Marnie was approached by longtime friend, Kate Park, about opening a boutique real estate firm. After several meetings, the concept of Nix Realty Company was born. Marnie welcomes the opportunity to work with Kate, whom she greatly respects as a real estate professional.
In addition to her husband Bart, Marnie has two daughters, Tobin and Tinsley.
