Teddy LaScala grew up in Franklin Lakes, New Jersey. After graduating from high school in 2012, Teddy left New Jersey to attend the Jackson School of Geosciences at the University of Texas, Austin. While at UT, Teddy met his wife and fellow NIX agent, Tinsley Simpson. Upon graduation, Teddy fly-fished his way around the world and guided in destinations from Montana to New Zealand. He eventually returned to Austin where accepted a sales job with Oracle. However, Teddy’s desire for a more physically active career choice led him to pursue an opportunity in the insurance industry as a licensed insurance adjuster. Teddy remains involved in in this field today. Teddy’s background as an insurance adjuster will be an asset when evaluating the condition of a property with a client. Teddy is also proficient with special software that allows him to recreate and reimagine floor plans- a tool which will be useful when working with Buyers and Sellers. In 2019, Teddy and his wife, Tinsley, choose to make San Antonio their home. They welcomed their first child, “Cuatro” in 2020.
